TV oldies – yesterday’s favourites!

Today’s English Lunch was all about TV oldies.
What TV series did you use to watch and what do you remember about them? We listened to the theme tunes, watched the introductions and chatted about them, which brought back many memories…. and I think I watched way too much TV when I was younger!

I Love Lucy was a sitcom starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz (1951 – 1957).

You also might have heard of the new movie called “Being the Ricardos” which tells the story of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Nicole Kidman (nominated for best actress).
Also nominated: Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye), Olivia Colman (The Lost Daughter), Penélope Cruz (Parallel Mothers) and Kristen Stewart (Spencer).

The A-Team, action-adventure series about a group of ex-US Army who work as “soldiers of fortune”, while on the run from the Army since they are convicted war criminals for a “crime they didn’t commit”. The show featured Mr. T. (1983 to 1987).

The Addams Family, sitcom (1964 – 1966). The Addams Family lived on North Cemetery Ridge.
Mr Gomez, wife Morticia was the beautiful but somber lady of the house.
