“Growing up bilingually, I was lucky enough to also go to school in Bedford, England. Life in the classroom at Bedford School was of course very different to what we are used to over here. When it comes to learning English in Germany, lessons are not much fun at all! The focus is mainly on grammar, tenses and structure, rarely on speaking and being able to communicate with others – that’s why many students lose confidence and end up being nervous when speaking and afraid of making mistakes.

We think we can make learning English more fun. Speaking regularly with a native speaker will not only improve your English, but also boost your confidence.

‘English Lunch’ kicked off in 2017 and has since become a regular online weekly event. After being asked if we can help with different situations and taking into account the fact that English has become such an important part of all our daily lives, we have decided to start EnglishPlease!
