Bilbo and Gandalf's interaction shows us that even a simple greeting can have different meanings!
\nConversations with others also allow us to express our feelings, to chat about what we have seen or heard, and also to explain and discuss a good idea or important topic.<\/p>\n

When we speak to each other face-to-face, body language (a smile, a frown, a shrug or the tone of voice) is an important component to being understood and understanding others - how we say something can be more important than the words themselves. Of course, face-to-face conversations are not always possible, so we need also to be able to chat online and use video applications such as Skype or even that 'good old fashioned' phone call.<\/p>\n

Speaking regularly will help build confidence and improve your pronunciation, especially when conversing with native speakers. Learning colloquial language und understanding certain slang can give you the necessary reassurance for those face-to-face real-life situations.<\/p>\n
