ELunch 01.11 – Was Charles Darwin the greatest Briton?

Over the coming few months we will be taking a collective closer look at British culture and society!

This week I explained the details of how we will be choosing who our greatest Briton is, whilst at the same time making my first nomination – the British naturalist and founder of the theory of evolution, Charles Darwin!

If you would like to make a nomination for your greatest Briton all you need to do is join the discussion at the next English-Lunch – which we be on 09.11 – and tell us who you have chosen, explain why you think that person is/was the greatest Briton and then we will all have a chat about your nomination. Or you can just make your nomination and tell us why at a later English-Lunch.

It would be great of course if you also did a little preparation but this of course is optional… the main thing is that you do the talking and get to improve your English at the same time.

I will also be presenting more of my own nominations over the coming weeks so you will also get the chance to learn more about other great Britons!
