If something is a piece of cake… then it must be easy to do.
If you cannot get your head around something… then you just can’t understand it
If something is a hot potato…. you might want to think twice before accepting responsibility
If something is a no-brainer…. it is an easy decision to make
If something is (still) up in the air… it has (still) not been decided yet
If someone asks you to sit tight… then you need to wait a while
If something rings a bell… then it sounds familiar but you’re not sure of the details
If you are asked to cut to the chase… then you should get to the point
If you are told to go the extra mile… then you are being asked to do more than was planned.
